Larger fillings or those in areas with heavy chewing pressure may need replacement sooner. Regular brushing, flossing, and dental check-ups will help extend the life of your filling.

Most patients experience sensitivity for a few days to a few weeks after placement. The sensitivity should gradually decrease. If it persists beyond a few weeks or worsens, contact our office—you may need a bite adjustment or additional evaluation.

You can eat once the numbness has completely worn off (usually 2-3 hours). However, avoid hard, sticky, or very hot/cold foods for the first 24 hours. Start with soft foods and gradually return to your normal diet as comfort allows.
